A CONTESTANT on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire has revealed the reason why the audience always appear to get the answers wrong.
The live studio audience often plays a key role in the game thanks to the 'Ask the Audience' lifeline available to hopeful quizzers.
However, one former contestant has revealed all as to why the audience can be so "useless" at helping out. In a Reddit thread spilling behind-the-scenes secrets from TV shows, the user suggested they often got answers wrong "on purpose".
The American contestant explained that the tactical choices would mean different contestants would get a chance on the show.
