UNIVERSITY Challenge contestants have revealed the behind-the-scenes details about their experience taking part in the show.
Victoria Wood was a champion back in 2002 alongside her band of teammates from Sommerville College at Oxford University. Victoria and her team inspired David Nicholls' University Challenge based novel, and later BBC TV series, Starter for Ten.
While Ted Loveday was part of the winning team in the 2015 competition - from Gonville & Caius College at Cambridge University.
He was hailed the "best ever University Challenge contestant" after answering a hugely obscure Greek question within seconds.
