I spent £26.73 at Aldi to make the five failsafe family meals my kids always lap up

With the price of just about everything on the rise, the cost of family meals has been shooting up. And with kids it can sometimes be tricky finding the things they'll actually eat, let alone something the whole family will eat.

But in my house there are certain failsafe dishes I know will get lapped up. Meaning my time, and most importantly my money, isn't going to waste.

This week I set out to buy the ingredients for all five meals from Aldi, whose website inspired a couple of the dishes, to see exactly how they priced up - and my bill came in at a rather impressive £26.73.
