MEDIC Bob will not take part in I’m a Celebrity . . . Get Me Out of Here! when it returns to the jungle this year. It will be the first time Bob McCarron, 72, has missed an Australian run of the show.
He has been a familiar face since the ITV series began in 2002 — offering advice to contestants and giving them urgent medical care, including removing a cockroach from 2018 winner Harry Redknapp’s ear.
He will be replaced by a different medical expert who won’t be seen on TV. The Sun understands Aussie Bob will still work on the series’ German version.
He also hosts a spin-off show where he travels around Australia. A source said Bob was so busy that something had to give and “sadly, that’s the UK version”.
