TV presenter Jonnie Irwin fears his young children won't remember him after revealing he is terminally ill with cancer. The ex-A Place in the Sun host, who says he was axed from the show shortly after his diagnosis, became emotional as he talked about wife Jess, three-year-old son Rex and two-year-old twins Cormac and Rafa.
In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Jonnie, 49, admits it's likely someone else will end up raising his kids after he's gone.
He said: “Every time something really nice happens with them, I have this thing knocking at my door, saying, ‘Don’t get too happy because you’re not going to be around much longer. “Then, I think they’re not going to remember me, they’re really not. “They’re too young and if I die this year there’s no chance they will have memories. “And someone else is probably going to bring them up.
I’ve done the hard yards with them and someone else will get the easy bit.” More on Jonnie IrwinHEARTBREAKING Scarlette Douglas 'devastated' over Jonnie Irwin's cancer diagnosisa new man Escape to the Country's Jonnie Irwin leaves fans stunned with dramatic new look Jonnie has been told he has just "six months to live" after first contracting lung cancer in 2020.
