A man who was released from prison this week told a court 'the world's gone crazy’ after being arrested for being drunk on Market Street and approaching people.
Jonathan Falashie, originally from Durham, was spotted by police officers approaching people and ‘getting quite close to others’ causing distress.
Described as being intoxicated, Falashie, 50, wouldn’t speak to the police and gave no explanation for being on the usually chaotic street which runs from Piccadilly to Exchange Street in the city centre.
After a quick search, officers found release papers from Forest Bank prison stating he had been let out on Monday 27th April, Manchester Magistrates Cour t heard.
