Huw Edwards has claimed BBC bosses demanded he remove a patriotic tweet of himself with a Welsh flag. The 59-year-old posted the tongue-in-cheek message in response to the online attacks yesterday against his colleague Naga Munchetty.
On the weekend's of Wales Six National clean sweep attempt, proud Huw tweeted in support and showed his colours – but the Corporation were reportedly not impressed.
Naga, who co-presents BBC Breakfast with Charlie Stayt, was embroiled in an 'anti-patriotism' row after a joke was made during a chat with Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick about the size of the British flag on display in his office.
