The former Premier League official was the referee in a fiery game between Chelsea and Manchester United in 2012, with the Reds coming out on top 3-2 at Stamford Bridge.
Following the game, the London side alleged that Clattenburg had called Nigerian midfield Mikel a 'monkey'. A formal complaint was made and eventually Clattenburg was cleared of any wrongdoing.
