The sport of darts is flying at the minute, with super players young and old putting on a sensational show in almost every tournament.Three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen saw his recent form revival halted by Gerwen Price, who has grabbed headlines as one of the top players in the world over the last year.

Meanwhile, Peter Wright has been in inspired form with ‘Snakebite’ the reigning world champion.At least these players are enjoying their time now, because the future could be rather alarming if these images are to go by with several of the top stars in the sport set to age in very different ways.Thanks to FaceApp, fans can now see what the darts superstars of today could look like in the future when they are old and their stardom is a thing of yesteryear.Scot Gary Anderson actually looks decent, rocking the silver fox look complete with grey facial hair.His compatriot Wright perhaps gets away the best of the lot, with the two-time world champion and current world number one still apparently rocking a red mohawk in his old age.

His beard has even been enhanced!Wright’s future self would be so lucky, but ‘Snakebite’ hardly ever keeps his hair colour the same, whether it be red, green or grey.Michael Smith, who Wright defeated in the final to become world champion back in December, could be most concerned.

His youthful looks have gone, although he has maintained a full head of hair along with the trademark bushy beard.The Englishman certainly appears more run down and angered by time.
