He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan.

The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.

A member of the Democratic Party, Biden is the presumptive Democratic nominee for president in the 2020 election. He unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and in 2008.

A delegation of House members delivered an article of impeachment against Donald Trump to the U.S. Senate tonight, a ceremony that triggers a process for a trial on charges that the former president incited the Jan.

6 attack on the Capitol.News networks and some of the broadcasters carried the walk to the Senate chamber, led by lead impeachment manager Rep.

Jamie Raskin (D-MD). He and other managers will be tasked with prosecuting the case against Trump, with a trial scheduled to begin the week of Feb.

8.Raskin read the charge against Trump, for inciting the insurrection at the Capitol. Pro-Trump rioters overran police barricades and stormed into the complex as lawmakers met to certify the electoral votes in favor of Joe Biden.
