Homes have been evacuated and a man is in custody after a suspected hand grenade was discovered at an address in Blackpool. A cordon has been set up and around 30 properties have been cleared out while the bomb squad moves in, police say.
The incident is centred on an address in Raikes Parade, a residential street. Blackpool Police said a man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
The force said in a statement: "We are currently at the scene of an ongoing incident in Blackpool. "We were called to a report a suspected hand grenade had been found at an address in Raikes Parade. "A cordon is in place and around 30 properties have been evacuated.
