Ari's passing, shortly after his hospital room wedding to Mia, is doubly cruel as he has been languishing in prison after falsely confessing to a murder he didn't commit.
His death is the latest in a long line of emotional exits on the popular Aussie soap. Let's take a look...Home and Away started in 1988 with married couple Tom and Pippa Fletcher leaving inner city Sydney for the fictional seaside town of Summer Bay.
As well as running the town's caravan park, they had their hands full with a troubled group of foster children in tow. ( Frank, Carly, Lynn, Steven and Sally).Firm but fair, Tom soon became a popular part of the community but two years after the show begun he collapsed while driving and was killed.
