Several Hollywood advocacy organizations are speaking out to blast Disney for the way the company responded to Scarlett Johansson‘s lawsuit over Black Widow profits. Scarlett filed a lawsuit against the studio because of the way it released the new Marvel movie, which seemingly ruined its chances at making big bucks at the box office.
Her contract includes backend compensation, which means her paycheck depends on how well the movie performs in theaters. Since the film was released on streaming at the same time as the theatrical release, her chance at earning a big bonus was diminished.
