HollyShorts Film Festival — an Oscar-qualifying event now in its 16th year — is going virtual this year, scheduled for Nov. 9-15 and showcasing 418 short films.
Helping kick off the festivities will be the premiere of Thompson Farm, a short film directed by Spike Lee's son, Jackson Lewis Lee.
His film, part of the opening night lineup, follows a quiet young man who is compelled by his lucid dreams to stand up to his aggressive, adoptive father, the proprietor of an illegal moonshine business.
Jackson Lewis Lee also wrote the short with Julius Pryor and produced alongside Pryor andMarttise Hill of Pryor Hill Productions.
