Hollyoaks star reveals horrifying moment her mum died before hero brought her back
thesun.co.ukHOLLYOAKS star Nikki Sanderson has opened up about the horrifying moment her mum died before being brought back to life by a hero first responder.
Nikki, 38, shared a snap of her mum with the man - Howard - and told the emotional story of the event which took place last year.
Writing on Instagram the actress said: "Less than 5 minutes after we got to mums, she went into cardiac arrest and she died. "We immediately started CPR under the guidance of the 999 operator who was so supportive and calm in the most scary, traumatic time of our lives." Nikki, who stars as Maxine Minniver in the Channel 4 soap, revealed that Howard wasn't expecting to attend to someone having a cardiac arrest.
She continued: "But with his quick thinking and incredible knowledge he began working on mum to get a pulse. Nikki went on to describe the "incredibly difficult journey" they've faced as a family since, but heaped praise on all the people involved in saving her mum's life.
