Hollyoaks and pursued roles playing villains subjected a stranger to a "brutal and ruthless" sexual assault in his home.Daniel Jones was jailed for 16 years after sexually assaulting a woman he had lured into his house on the premise of aiding an injured dog.
The wannabe actor then trapped a female police officer in his living room as she tried to rescue the victim, The Liverpool Echo reports.
It emerged that the 47-year-old, who ran a gym and boxing business, was also a budding actor with bit-part appearances in TV shows like Hollyoaks and ITV's Paranoid.Jones, who had pursued an acting career in the years leading up to the pandemic, lent himself to roles described as "henchmen, security guards and villains", according to his iMDB page.The profile read: "Having spent several years working in security management, and then owning his own security company, and boxing gym, Daniel was inspired by the many famous actors he would meet and a few years later and after some soul-searching his artistic nature guided him into acting towards the end of 2008." The court head that the coronavirus pandemic had put strain on the mental health of Jones as well as his gym, Bespoke Bodies.
