Schofield gained national attention working for the BBC, first as a continuity presenter for Children's BBC on weekdays from 1985 to 1987, then as a presenter on the children's Saturday morning magazine show Going Live! between September 1987 and April 1993.

HOLLY Willoughby is said to be "leaning on" her This Morning co-star Alison Hammond as the queue-gate row rumbles on. The presenter, 41, is thought to have sought comfort from TV pals Alison and Dermot O'Leary amid the backlash.

Holly and Phillip Schofield, 60, sailed past thousands of mourners waiting in line at Westminster Hall to see the Queen lying-in-state last Friday.

Her pal Piers Morgan revealed she'd been left absolutely "distraught" by the reaction from This Morning fans - sparking tens of thousands of comments online.

A source told MailOnline: "Alison, Dermot, Phil and Holly are incredibly close and tight-knit.  "When things started to blow up over the weekend they were in touch straight away to offer their support.
