HMRC announces additional online support for self-employed applying for SEISS fourth grant

Self-Employment Income Support Scheme (SEISS) grant which has already helped millions of self-employed workers across the country throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

The fourth grant is delivered by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), covering February, March and April, is worth up to £7,500. Last month, HMRC said: “If you’re eligible based on your tax returns, HMRC will contact you in mid-April to give you a date that you can make your claim from.

It will be given to you either by email, letter or within the online service.” However, the official application portal on GOV.UK is now open which means that eligible claimants who may not have been contacted by HMRC can check their eligibility online and submit their claim anytime from now until.
