These heartbreaking photos show patients lined up on trolleys in a hospital battered by coronavirus - amid claims they are having to wait hours for beds.
Staff at University Hospital Limerick (UHL) are being "overwhelmed" as cases continue to surge, according to an informed source.
The hospital is currently the worst hit in Ireland, with 142 confirmed cases. Just three critical care beds and five general care beds were available on Thursday, HSE figures show.
Startling pictures that appear to show several people sat on beds in the corridors of UHL have emerged. Staff in masks are also visible in the images.
