disease, which meant he had to take a high dose steroid treatment. 25-year-old Sam Ollier, from Crewe, became partially blind after developing the rare disease crescentic IgA nephropathy, which caused his kidneys to fail.
Sam, who is normally incredibly fit and healthy, suffered blurred vision which progressed into dangerously high blood pressure, reports Manchester Evening News.The high dose steroid treatment which he had to take in order to prevent any further danger to his body caused him to put on a drastic amount of weight in just four weeks, making it difficult for him to walk and even breathe.
Determined to do something to help others suffering with similar conditions, Sam has walked an incredible 8,500 steps every day for a month in.
