Pupils at Etchells Primary School, in Cheadle, Greater Manchester, were forced to stay home following a Covid-19 outbreak earlier this week.
The school had already sent a number of pupils home to self isolate after positive cases, but yesterday it was forced to close altogether.
Bosses believe children did not display the main coronavirus symptoms meaning the virus initially went undetected, reports the Manchester Evening News.
