The family of the late war hero who inspired nations to pull together and raised a phenomenal sum for charity last year has chosen two environmental charities to create his ‘legacy forest,’ The Woodland Trust and the TreeSisters. ‘Dad was happiest outdoors, walking in all seasons, pottering in the garden, and listening to the birds. ‘He loved wildlife and watching nature programmes.
