A speedy Hamilton schoolboy is undertaking a huge challenge in aid of a Lanarkshire hospice.Cooper Grieve is aiming to complete 100km before his ninth birthday on June 2, for St Andrew’s Hospice.He is doing so by running 3km every day to hit his target – and then have a double reason to celebrate on his birthday .The eight-year-old, of Macdairmid Drive, is raising funds for the hospice after they cared for his papa, Jim Davidson, in the weeks before he passed away in 2010.And within 24 hours of starting his challenge last month the Woodhead Primary pupil had already smashed his £1000 target.Cooper has now raised over £1300 and rising for the hospice, a registered charity providing care and treatment for those living with life-limiting
