Hamilton Accies are reportedly "on the verge of a takeover" with two interested parties looking to gain control of the Championship club.The Scottish Sun claim "two mystery parties" have declared an interest in buying the club, which has been owned by Ronnie McDonald for nearly two decades.
The 71-year-old took control of the New Douglas Park outfit in June 2003 for £1.However, the club were said to have debts of over £5million when he took over, following his failed bid for Dumbarton just months earlier.
In February last year, Accies chief executive Colin McGowan told Lanarkshire Live Sport the club knocked back a takeover bid from a Chinese consortium a number of years ago.
