Halloween Kills also had the highest grossing opening weekend for a streaming day-and-date premiere of the pandemic era, beating out Godzilla vs.
Kong, which came out at $31.6 million in its first weekend at the box office alongside a HBO Max premiere. Jamie Lee Curtis is already opening up about the next movie, which is rumored to begin filming in January of 2022.
