Banking giant Halifax has reportedly triggered an exodus of customers shutting down their accounts, after they told people who disagreed with their pronoun badges to leave.Even one of their most famous employees has waded in on the row – and branded his old company’s policy “disgraceful".

Unfortunately for the bank, the move seems to have backfired and people have jumped to rivals and withdrawn hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of assets, according to MailOnline.

Howard, who left the company in 2011, fumed: "I think it's disgraceful. That's not the Halifax I knew, that's not the customer service I knew.“If this had happened when I was working there, we'd all have been shocked and disappointed.
