Ministers are set to announce on Monday (June 14) whether the following week will see the final stage of lockdown easing take place.

Step four of the roadmap is expected to see all legal limits on social contact lifted and the return of large events and nightclubs across England.

However, doubts have been cast in recent days over whether the latest data on case numbers and hospitalisations, as well as the impact of the vaccine roll-out, will allow the government to proceed with its plans.
