An all-star cast including Lady Gaga, Jared Leto and Adam Driver star in the new crime drama House of Gucci but while the movie has received positive reviews, the Guccis themselves aren't too pleased.
The film – based on the 2001 book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour and Greed by Sara Gay Forden – peeks inside the life of the infamous Gucci family and how one ambitious woman triggers a spiral of betrayal, revenge and murder.
Patrizia Reggiani (played by Lady Gaga) was convicted of having her ex-husband, fashion heir Maurizio Gucci, assassinated in 1995.
Some critics call the film a must-see, but the Gucci family says the film is ‘extremely painful’ and an ‘insult’ to the family’s legacy.
