Ellen Pompeo steps out for some exercise with her longtime friend and co-star Giacomo Gianniotti on Friday morning (June 5) in Los Feliz, Calif.

The Grey’s Anatomy co-stars were spotted on a hike that morning. Just one day earlier, Ellen took to Instagram to share a video that Giacomo made about his support for the Black Lives Matter movement. “BEAUTIFUL WORDS LOVE YOU,” Ellen commented on Giacomo‘s page.

She then shared the video to her own account. “This is for the people who need to hear this not for the ones who don’t. Please don’t be overly critical as it leads to people being scared to speak out which equals silence which is deadly.
