Lanarkshire band Spyres were this week dubbed "one of the most exciting young bands around" as they put pen to paper on an elusive record deal.
After ending last year on a high with a run of sold-out headline shows in London, Edinburgh and Glasgow, the powered-up alt-rock outfit from East Kilbride are set to reach new heights, signing to prolific independent label LAB Records.And their first release through the Manchester-based label, fierce new single 'See Through You,' is out today (Friday, January 14).The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

The latest offering is a reverb-heavy roller coaster through grunge sensibilities, evocative guitar tones and soul-stirring vocal layering from teen vocalists Emily Downie and Keira McGuire.
