The 2022 series of the Great British Bake Off will go ahead as planned on Tuesday 13 September. Channel 4 has confirmed that the new series will still air as originally planned, despite many other TV channels changing their schedules due to the recent death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Both BBC One and ITV have changed their regular programming schedules after the UK entered a period of mourning for Her Majesty, who passed away at Balmoral Castle at the age of 96 on Thursday 8 September.
Great British Bake Off will return to screens as planned on Tuesday in its usual 8pm slot, with a new batch of amateur bakers looking to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Dame Prue Leith.
Matt Lucas and Noel Fielding will also be returning as presenters of the 13th series of the fan-favourite baking competition.
