Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.

Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.

Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.

Google Maps users spot mysterious 'blood lake' hidden among remote sandy hills

Google Maps user has been left spooked after coming across what looks like a "blood lake" hidden in the sandy hills of South Dakota.

The mysterious aerial shot, posted to the subreddit r/GoogleMaps, shows the a red-coloured lake nestled in the Black Hills National Forest.

User u/BlakeCakee posted the peculiar pic with the caption: "I think I found a Blood Lake in South Dakota..."The forest, located in the west of the state and bordering neighbouring Wyoming, is a popular location with mountain climbers and campers.But it has also been home to gold mining and timber production and one user suggested such heavy industry could be responsible for the discolouring of the lake.User boston_nsca replied: "Ah yes, good ole environmental destruction."Mining is a big industry in South Dakota, producing gold, cement, gravel, and sand.The Homestake Mine at the Black Hills was the primary gold mine until it was shut down in 2001.Several dams along the Missouri River are used to produce hydroelectric power though the state continues to rely on coal and oil-fuelled power plants.Daily Star previously reported how a fellow Google Maps user found a "bloody puddle" in a remote field.

The patch of red in a large aerial shot of an unknown field left Reddit users baffled with one even suggesting it was a "place to sacrifice pigs the traditional way (cutting their throats)".Other shocking images unearthed on Google Maps include little boy was spotted holding a pistol – which seems to have tugged at the heartstrings of some fans on Reddit.The image, posted to the subreddit r/googlemapsshenanigans and which shows the child wearing a pair of shorts with no shirt or shoes, was captioned: "You came to the wrong neighbourhood..."
