Google Maps while scouring around the world.A post to the Reddit forum r/GoogleMaps from user timoglor showed a screengrab of a street with white smoke billowing from the train tracks in the middle of the road.Crowds of people can be seen gathered around the train tracks, leading the original poster to believe he had found a train crash captured by Google Maps. But they were soon told the so-called disaster was nothing of the sort and was actually a steam engine visiting the town, with crowds spotted gathering around the "crash".The poster added two sources to the site of the potential crash, but soon realised he was incorrect after other users pointed out it was actually a steam engine in Arkansas, America. One commenter said: "Looks more like a steam engine," with a second user replying with: "Thinking the same.

Does not look like an accident, looks definitely like an old steam engine."Another said: "You're wrong, that's just a steam train people have gathered around to see."The original poster soon edited his comment of two sources linked to the site, saying: "Looks like I was wrong.

But I guess an old steam engine is cool too!"The "crash" was captured in Walnut Street in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, where hundreds of people can be seen taking in the "Big Boy" steam train.

25 Big Boys were built as early as 1941, with the steam engines soon becoming a favourite sighting for train enthusiasts. The trains, which are just over half the size of a Boeing 747, are located in spots around America including Colorado, Texas and Wisconsin and recently returned to service in 2019.Big Boys were brought back to life to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Transcontinental Railroad's completion. .
