Golfers may have felt as good as if they were preparing to tee-off at The Open as they flocked back in their droves to the fairways on Friday.A round of golf has been a long-time coming but the tees at Shotts Golf Club were thronging with players eager to get their game back up to par.The dust was blown off the irons and woods and there were probably more “fore” shouts than you would usually hear, but they can be forgiven for being a bit rusty after at least nine weeks away.The glorious sunshine made it feel more like Augusta National than North Lanarkshire, and for the golfers it possibly felt just as good following their enforced exclusion from the course.Sadly, the Shotts course was damaged by yobs on motocross and quad bikes recently.We
