Kate Garraway has been praised as “brave” and “courageous” on Good Morning Britain by the parents of an Olympic Gold medalist The presenter was interviewing the parents of Team GB Olympic gold medalist Matt Richards on Wednesday’s show alongside her co-presenter Ben Shephard.
Chatting to Simon and Amanda Richards on Wednesday morning over a video call, Kate and Ben shared in the pair’s jubilation at Matt and Team GB’s success.
Matt won a Gold medal alongside his teammates Tom Dean, James Guy and Duncan Scott in the 4x200m relay in Tokyo, Japan. Amanda described the feeling as “unbelievable” and Kate noted their “hoarse” voices which they confirmed came from cheering their son on.
