Susanna Reid

Susanna Victoria Reid (born 10 December 1970) is an English television presenter and journalist. Reid was a co-presenter of BBC Breakfast from 2003 until 2014, along with Bill Turnbull and Charlie Stayt.

She has been a co-anchor of Good Morning Britain since 2014, and currently presents the programme alongside Piers Morgan and Ben Shephard.

She finished as a runner-up on the eleventh series of Strictly Come Dancing in 2013. She also presented Sunday Morning Live on BBC and Save Money: Good Food on ITV.

Good Morning Britain fans were left up in arms after a “sexist” guest branded Susanna Reid “Miss” while talking about the latest developments in the cost-for-living crisis.

During Thursday’s (May 12) instalment of the ITV news show the 51-year-old broadcaster and her co-host Ben Shephard welcomed journalist Quentin Letts on to the show to discuss the ongoing financial crisis.

And it’s fair to say the 59-year-old reporter left tongues wagging as he shared his controversial opinion on the topic and how he would go about tackling the issue.But eagle-eyed viewers couldn’t help but call him out for what they deemed as “sexist” comments as he shut down the TV presenter during the on-air discussion.The mum-of-three was left completely baffled when the reporter argued that targeting the oil companies was the wrong move to make to rectify the sky-high prices of everyday essential items.He explained: “The basic truth here is that you do not solve the cost-of-living crisis by whacking the oil company because it will raise a few billion quid but it needs a bit more than that."Baffled by his response, Susanna pointed out: “When you say it like that Quentin, you can imagine the people listening thinking, ‘You know what?

A few billion quid might help – it might not solve it but it might help’.”Quentin hit back with: “Susanna unfortunately the politicians will soon spend it,” which she argued: “Well hopefully on helping people who are struggling with their bills.”It was at this point the reporter branded the news reader “Miss” while he continued point out the government may go on to tax other essential companies.He went on: “Next thing, Miss, they’ll be putting a tax on TV companies – wouldn’t be so keen on that I don’t think.
