He played for Manchester United, Preston North End, Real Madrid, Milan, LA Galaxy, Paris Saint-Germain and the England national team, for which he held the appearance record for an outfield player until 2016. He is the first English player to win league titles in four countries: England, Spain, the United States and France. Cody Gapare, 43, was diagnosed with stage two breast cancer in 2014, when she was just 36-years-old. She was so convinced that she didn't have cancer, the mum-of-two collected her results alone, and went to a university interview for a place studying law just hours later.

When she was told the grape-sized lump she had found getting out of the shower was malignant, she excused herself without even giving the doctor a chance to discuss her treatment.
