Gerwyn Price has sensationally branded darts rival Peter Wright "rubbish" after Snakebite secured the provisional world No1 ranking.Wright, 52, became the first Scotsman to reach number one in the PDC rankings earlier this year following his World Championship win over Michael Smith.
He took that accolade from Price, 37, with the duo becoming involved in a heated back-and-forth contest for the title - with the Welshman regaining his crown in July.
And although Wright may have provisionally overtaken him once again, following a 2-0 victory over Kim Huybrechts in the opening round of World Grand Prix, The Iceman has warned Snakebite to wait until after the tournament to send petty jibes.READ MORE: Frank Bruno challenges James Wade after being inspired by darts ace's charity challenge"He hasn't though, wait until this tournament is over," Price told reporters when asked about Wright's comments on making him the "best number two in the world."He continued: "Peter's been absolute rubbish this year, I'm not chasing the world No 1 - if he wants it he can have it.
But I'm sure the next couple of months I'll get it back. Peter knows he's number three in the world, Michael is number two and I'm number one but talk is cheap."HAVE YOUR SAY!
