Education Secretary Gavin Williamson told MPs that while he wants to see students sitting their GCSE and A-Level exams next year, there will likely be "adjustments and mitigations" put in place to ensure fairness to pupils currently in year 10 and 12.
Addressing the Education Select Committee, Mr Williamson said he does not expect an immediate return to exams as they were pre-Covid, instead suggesting a package of measures to support students in 2022.
