After four hours intense baking, The Great British Bake Off contestants watched in horror on Tuesday night's premiere, as not one but two cakes collapsed.
Having been tasked with baking "anti-gravity illusion cakes" to reflect a 'happy memory', the new bakers had crafted showstoppers that used hidden supports to balance part of the cake in a seemingly impossible fashion.
But 56-year-old Met Police detective Amanda was horrified when her anti-gravity cake in the shape of a wave collapsed in front of the whole room.
While her cake had luckily already been judged, sales manager Chigs, 40, saw his pouring tea cake fall to pieces as it was carried over and placed in front of judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith.
