Arnold Schwarzenegger is willing to fill more potholes in the city of Los Angeles. The 75-year-old actor went viral last week when he shared a video of him filling a pothole in his Brentwood neighborhood after becoming frustrated that it was "screwing up cars and bicycles for weeks." The move caused controversy with the City of Los Angeles. A city spokesperson later said it was "not a pothole" but a "utility trench" for ongoing repair work being conducted by SoCalGas.

While Prince Harry and the rest of the world watch the pomp and circumstance of King Charles III at his coronation at Westminster Abbey, Meghan Markle will be at home with their two young children giving Prince Archie a "low-key" birthday party on May 6, according to a report.  "It's going to be a low-key party at home," a source told People magazine this week.  Harry and Meghan settled in Montecito, California, after they stepped down as senior royals in 2020.  The source continued, "They'll have friends around them and Meghan's mom, Doria [Ragland]. Meghan will definitely have support that weekend." Princess Lilibet will also attend her older brother’s birthday, the source confirmed.  "They are so sweet together," they added.

Among the senior executives leaving the Disney news unit are Wendy Fisher, the senior vice president of newsgathering who joined the organization in 1989 as a desk assistant; Galen Gordon, senior vice president of talent strategy and development; Mary Noonan, vice president of talent strategy and development; and Alison Rudnick, a media industry veteran who joined ABC News from CNN in 2021 to represent ABC News President Kim Godwin as vice president of corporate communications. Others who are leaving include Chris Vlasto, a veteran senior executive producer who led ABC News’ investigative unit; Heather Riley, an executive editorial producer who has long been seen as a trusted lieutenant of anchor George Stephanopoulos; and David Herndon, ABC News’ Los Angeles bureau chief who has been with ABC News since joining as a producer in 1999.

If Fox’s parent company has its way, however, Rupert Murdoch, the guiding force behind much of Fox Corporation, will not. Starting as soon as April 17, Fox Corp. could square off in the Superior Court of the State of Delaware and face allegations of defamation from Dominion Voting Systems in a whopping $1.6 billion-dollar suit that is sure to generate headlines. Before any of that can start, however, the two sides appear to locked in a battle over whether the Fox Corp. executive chairman, and his son, CEO Lachlan Murdoch, should be present in court to give testimony.

Discovery has taken a divide-and-conquer strategy when it comes to “Impractical Jokers.” The show, a programming mainstay on the cable network TruTv for ten seasons, has been airing on both Tru and TBS since launching its most recent cycle in early February of 2023. During that run, the show has largely seen viewership increase on TBS week over week, according to data from Nielsen, except for the week of March 2. While its run on Tru has been a little choppier over its first month on air, viewership of the episodes has widened noticeably when viewership over a three-day period is taken into consideration. The launch of the tenth season has also boosted viewership of linear repeats as well as streams on HBO Max, according to Nielsen data reviewed by Variety.

Peacock is getting ready to launch a morning-news bundle that includes all of NBCUniversal’s various A.M. offerings from CNBC, MSBC and NBC News. For the first time, under the right circumstances, a single viewers may get real-time access to Savannah Guthrie, Joe Scarborough and Becky Quick, all from the same media source. MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” and CNBC’s “Squawk Box” will make their Peacock debut March 28th, joining NBC News Now. the NBC News live-streaming service and “Today,” which is available to “Premium Plus” subscribers of Peacock through local NBC station channels. “Morning Joe” will stream live each weekday from 6-10 a.m. eastern and “Squawk Box” will stream live weekdays from 6-9 a.m.

The actor used his unique connections to the White House — he was an associate director of the White House Office of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs during the Obama administration — to deliver a hard-to-get booking to Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show.” When Penn recently guest-hosted the program, his first night featured a sit-down with President Joe Biden. How did he land POTUS? Penn simply asked — but made clear he planned to ask questions the Commander-in-Chief doesn’t usually get during a media scrum. “I definitely wanted him to join me in setting up what I hope was a hopeful arc over the week,” says Penn, who asked Biden to discuss how young people’s advocacy can spur change on climate, drilling, and human rights. Biden also offered about his views on same-sex marriage and the treatment of transgender children, among other topics.

Duthiers, who has worked as a correspondent and fill-in on the program since 2019, has seen his role grow over time. He typically delivers segments on some of the trending items of the morning, and, more recently, took part in reports showing how he was preparing for the arrival of his newborn child. Now, his ties to the A.M. property will be even tighter. Duthiers has been elevated to “featured host” at the show. “With fatherhood and now this solidifying of my role on the morning show, my head is spinning,” says Duthiers.
