GAVIN and Stacey star Alison Steadman broke down in tears after she discovered that her father was adopted. The actress - who played lovable Pam Shipman on the hit BBC sitcom - revealed that neither her dad George or her family were aware that he was adopted.
The 76-year-old star was devastated to learn her grandmother wasn't biologically related to her. Alison, who was joined by co-star Larry Lamb on the show, was shocked by the life-changing news, which was revealed to her on tonight's episode after researchers dug into her DNA history.
Alison was born in Liverpool to Marjorie and George Percival Steadman, and was the youngest of three sisters. TV star Alison told Larry, 75, that she was informed off-camera that her dad was eight months old when he was adopted.
