Gavin and Stacey creator Ruth Jones has announced there are no plans to start writing new material for the award-winning BBC series.
The 53-year-old actress appeared on ITV daytime show This Morning on Friday to discuss her second novel Us Three, which explores female friendship, but conversation quickly turned to Gavin and Stacey.After the 2019 festive episode, fans have been desperate to see more from the leading couple, played by Mathew Horne and Joanna Page, and their best mates Nessa and Smithy, played by writers Ruth and James Corden.Speaking to hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford about the potential of Gavin and Stacey returning to our screens, Ruth said: "There aren't any plans to write anything."Obviously James [Corden] is in.
