Gary Neville has claimed Manchester United made the correct decision to sell Daniel James, as he would have only been a bit-part player under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
James joined Leeds on transfer deadline day after two years in Manchester, where he struggled to maintain a consistent level.
The Welshman was excellent in spurts and began his period at United in excellent form. However, in a summer where United have added world-class quality in attack with the additions of Jadon Sancho and Cristiano Ronaldo, James was set to find himself surplus to requirements.
Only six months before joining United, James was set to sign for Leeds but was denied his move to Yorkshire in the 11th-hour after completing a medical.
