Gartocharn author Denzil Meyrick says it’s a dream come true to see his work being turned into a TV series.Meyrick’s hit DCI Daley series is set for the small screen, with Game of Thrones star Rory McCann set to play DCI Jim Daley in eight 60-minute dramas adapted from Meyrick’s bestsellers.Rights to the books have been secured by Ocean Independent, the production arm of talent agency Emptage Hallett, together with Fudge Park – award-winning producers of The Inbetweeners, White Gold and The First Team.The series will be written and directed by leading Scottish playwright and screenwriter Anthony Neilson.Former police officer Denzil, who has sold more than two million copies of his work which is set in the fictional village of Kinloch based
