England manager Gareth Southgate has said Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw will likely miss Monday's clash with San Marino.
Shaw was pulled out of the Three Lions squad earlier this week after sustaining a head injury in the 2-0 loss to Manchester City before the international break.
The defender has been following concussion protocols since and it would now appear he will miss the team's final World Cup qualifying match. "I think Luke and Mason [Mount] are very unlikely now," said Southgate. "I think we're going to run out of time with those two." Shaw was one of United 's best players last season, progressing into one of the standout left-backs in the Premier League.
