This Morning travel pundit has received a barrage of abuse from viewers after suggesting holiday-makers could visit mid-Wales.
Simon Calder discussed holiday options during the half-term holidays on Monday morning.He suggested viewers could visit Machynlleth in Powys and Aberystwyth in Ceredigion, after telling areas of south and north Wales are under local lockdown restrictions.Afterwards, the ITV show received more than 100 Ofcom objections and Simon told how he was hit with a barrage of criticism.He claims he has been called an "absolute f***ing knob" and "a maggot" and was told to "f*** off and stay in England".And he said he's never experienced such "intense abuse" after appearing on the show.While he was hit with abuse he told how.
