The black hearse is likely one of the first things you think of when picturing a funeral but more and more people are breaking away from tradition and opting to make their final ride a memorable one.

A report by Co-op Funeralcare shows a 21 per cent rise in requests for alternative modes of transport with just under a half (48 per cent) of its funeral directors being asked to source a unique hearse for a funeral.
