A 19-year-old man who drowned near a pier has been pictured for the first time as his devastated family paid tribute to him.
Adam Dodd got into difficulty while swimming close to the St Anne's Pier in Blackpool at around 7.20pm on Friday. The personal trainer was rescued from the water and taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital, but unfortunately passed away a short time later.
Three other people were taken to hospital following the tragedy to be treated for water inhalation, Lancashire Police said. Adam's family have now paid tribute to him, describing him as a "fun-loving person" who had "just started his career", Lancs Live reports.
