The Academy Award-nominated performer dealt with four fractures to her neck, wrist, and hip in the past year, according to the GoFundMe page.
While she was recovering from these injuries, she developed two “life-threatening infections,” which she is currently attempting to find the right treatment for.
Kirkland starred in the 1988 movie “Anna,” for which she was nominated for the best actress Oscar and won the Best Actress Golden Globe Award.
